The Church of Santa Maria de les Besses at Cervià de les Garrigues was almost on the point of collapsing before restoration work was carried out in the 1960s. This work, which finished in 1973, has given the building a new lease of life. It is an interesting
transition between Romanesque and Gothic styles with a rectangular floor plan, pointed arches, corbels and a north door with voussoirs. |
