The parish church of Santa Maria, which stands next to the houses, is a stone building with an eight-sided bell tower and a voussoir portal.


There are two Romanesque panel paintings from Pessonada at the Museu de Belles Arts in Bilbao. To the north of the village, up on top of the crags, stands the hermitage of the Mare de Déu de la Plana, a well-preserved Romanesque building with a nave, a semi-circular apse and a bell cote. The Romanesque image of the Mare de Déu de la Plana, a polychromatic sculpture, is kept in a private house.
