The parish church of Sant Andreu de Valéncia d'Àneu is located in the highest part of the village, outside the old walled part of the village. It stands on top of a hill that separates the village from the ridge on which it is possible to find the remains of the former castle of the Counts of Pallars. The building has a single nave, covered by arris vaults. There are chapels built onto the northern and southern lsides of the building. There is a Pallars-style bell tower to the south-east of the building and a door in the south-west end, which is covered by a porch.
