This Romanesque-style building dates from the 12th century, although an old church, connected with that of Guissona, is mentioned as early as the year 1098.
The building was constructed ion top of a large rock on a small hillock, which stands at an altitude of 400 m, on the right bank of the river Sió. The building has a single nave, two buttresses on its south side and a semi-circular Romanesque-style apse. |
