THE ROMANESQUE CHURCH OF SANT PERE DE MALDÀ |
The original church at Maldà was constructed in the 13th century on a site just below the village. The building is very sober and simple and was built with regular shaped stones that left only the smallest of openings. The building has a single nave, built with large ashlars and a barrel vault. The main doorway takes the form of a semi-circular arch supported by columns. |
