A large mola (mass) of conglomerate rock, with a height of 1,180 m, rises high between Vilamala and the Sant Llorenç valley (Pyrenees-
El Solsonès - Spain). To reach this mountain, visitors should take the road from Sant Llorenç de Morunys
towards Coll de Jou and then follow a sign-posted route, off to the left, after about 1.5 km. They must then follow the track until it comes to an end and along the way they will pass the
Romanesque-style church of Sant Serni del Grau,
which dates from the 11th – 12th century. On reaching the foot of the mola, they have to leave their cars and continue on foot (for about 15 minutes). Once on top of the mound, they
will find a large cannon, which commemorates the Carlist wars, and the Santuari (shrine) de Lord.
The present building was mainly constructed in the 19th century, but the earliest remains of the shrine date back to the 10th century. The site conserves the image of a brown virgin dating from the 15th – 16th century.
