One of the most interesting tours, visiting well-preserved buildings which date back to medieval times when these lands constituted the border between Arab and Christian territories. The traditional castles tour includes five fortresses: Montsonís, in La Noguera (Spain); Montclar, in L'Urgell (Spain), Florejacs and les Pallargues, in La Segarra (Spain).

The Vicfred Castle has recently been added to the tour; it is also located in La Segarra (Spain) and includes a great noble mansion from the 18th and 19th centuries. Finally, the medieval castle of Verdú, in L'Urgell (Spain), el Arbeca Castle in Les Garrigues (Spain) and the castle of Mur, in Pallars Jussà (Spain) can also be visited.
