This route takes visitors to three quite unique museums in el Pallars: the Museu de la Conca Dellà, at Isona; the Museu dels Raiers (rafters’ museum), at el Pont de Claverol, and the Ecomuseu de les Valls d'Àneu, in Esterri d’Àneu. The Museu de la Conca Dellà takes visitors on a journey back to the time of the dinosaurs, offering guided visits to remains from the Cretaceous period at la Posa, where it is possible to see the footprints left behind by these prehistoric creatures. The Museu dels Raiers provides an insight into the now lost profession of guiding logs down rivers and explains the process of working with the wood and shows the tools that used to be used. The main element in the Ecomuseu de les Valls d'Àneu is Casa Gassia, which provides an insight into what used to constitute traditional life in the mountains. Other interesting elements forming part of the Ecomuseu include the old sawmill at Alós and another group of historic buildings at Son. Other places that deserve a visit include Peramea, Llagunes and the Museu de la Fusta (Wood Museum) at Àreu.
