Course Berga-Montsegur (GR107): 198 km.
Course Solsona-Gósol (mainly along GR7): 72 km.
Description:
The course of this route is shared between Catalonia
and L’Ariège (France). The route of the Catharists offers
trekkers with the possibility to follow the migratory routes
used by the Catharist monks between the 12th and 14th
centuries. This trail has two possible starting points: one
course, which mainly follows GR 7, begins at the Santuari
del Miracle (Solsonès) and passes through
Solsona, Timoneda, and Odèn St. Llorenç de Morunys, Tuixén
and Josa del Cadí, before finally arriving at Gósol where it joins the other course, which runs from Berguedà
to Cerdanya, passing through Bellver de Cerdanya and
Prullans, before finally arriving at Montsegur (France)
following GR 107.
*The parts of the routes that run through Lleida province are marked in bold type.
