This event continues an initiative that began back in 1992. We would like to remain faithful to all those people who, year after year, have congregated in the churches of the local area to listen to a variety of musical repertoires that have offered a wide range of styles and appealed to a number of different sensibilities. The series of concerts entitled “Solistes a l’Alta Ribagorça” (Soloists in L’Alta Ribagorça - Spain) will offer a free concert at 11 pm on every Saturday night in August. These concerts, which will be held in the churches of the Ribagorça area, will be given by well-known musicians.

In our opinion, summer is the best time for music lovers. The long summer days are an open invitation to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of Lleida, while the cool nights encourage visitors to listen carefully to the moments of silence within each musical piece. The churches of L’Alta Ribagorça offer incomparable venues in which music lovers can let themselves be captivated by an art form that is as old as humanity itself.

There are two main reasons for offering the concerts at this time of year: firstly, because summer is a special season for music and culture and secondly, because August is the month in which this area receives its greatest influx of visitors. It is therefore possible to offer a complementary tourist activity and at the same time to promote musical culture amongst the local population.

So let’s all listen to the music offered by the summer nights of L’Alta Ribagorça (Spain)!
