SORT
In the case of Sort (El Pallars Sobirà - Spain), it is possible to find facilities such as the Camp de Regates (Water Sports Circuit) l’Aigüerola, which is located right in the centre of the town. The Water Sports Circuit has a 375m long section of white waters fed by a natural current, making it the only circuit of its kind in Catalonia. The special characteristics of the Water Sports Circuit make it the ideal place to hold the most important championships, though it is also possible to train or simply have a good time there too. The circuit already hosts some of the most important competitions in the world, including the Rodeo World Championship and the Ral·li Internacional de la Noguera Pallaresa.

The town of Sort also has a leisure centre where it is possible to play a number of other sports such as basketball and indoor football. Every summer, the organisation Esport en joc (Sport in Play) holds basketball training camps for children and some second division football league teams have also recently chose Sort as a base for their pre-season training preparations.

One of the facilities that make Sort an ideal place for these sports camps is the Escola de Piraguísme (canoeing school). This is a youth hostel that is jointly run by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Administration) and the Ajuntament de Sort (Local Council) and is prepared to receive groups from schools and sports clubs.

Finally, there are a series of other sports facilities such as the ground of the local football club, tennis courts and swimming pools. All of these facilities are available for those who would like to visit the town and take part in sports activities.
