In the Ąger Valley (La Noguera - Spain) there are many municipalities that have conserved remains from the time of the Roman occupation.
One of the most important of these is the municipality of Ąger, where remains of Roman footwear have been found across an important area of the territory. It is particularly relevant to highlight the fact that the
Museum of Isona i Conca Dellą includes a special section dedicated to the Roman period.
The Roman Road of Ąger is known as the old road to Balaguer. Until relatively recently, the conserved section ran from
Vilamajor (near Les Avellanes) to Sant Martķ d'Ąger. The conserved section currently includes a
2.5 kilometre paved stretch, with an average width of 4.5 metres, running between the town of Ąger and El Port d“Ąger. |
