original >The competition is open to works that have been published in the press or broadcast on radio or television or internet in any language between 18th October 2007 and 17th October 2008..
period of entries > All entries must be presented within a period of one month beginning from the day after publication of the official announcement in the “Spanish Official Gacette” (the period for submitting entries is from 18th October to 18th November 2008). Entries shall be submitted by their author or authors, or by any other person or entity able to demonstrate the author’s consent. Entries must be addressed to the president of:

a] Press journalism: an original copy of the publication in which the entry initially appeared.
b] Radio and television: a recording of the information or reports presented. In the case of news programmes, a selection of three related programmes should be presented in the format in which they were originally broadcast.
c] Internet: work must be handed in using the same format as has been published on the website; be it multimedia CD, HTML file, Flash file, JPEG, GIF or printed on paper.
prizes > Prizes will be awarded in 9 different categories:
WRITTEN PRESS 6,000 euros
RADIO 6,000 euros
TELEVISION 6,000 euros
PRESS SPECIALIZING IN TRAVEL AND TOURISM 6,000 euros
PHOTOGRAPHIC REPORT 6,000 euros
INTERNATIONAL PRESS AWARD 6,000 euros for the best article ublished or broadcast outside Spain.
NTERNET 3,000 euros
Any work published through the internet network.
LOCAL PRESS 3,000 euros
Open to all of the different forms of mass media that work in the Lands of Lleida.
CAREER ACHIEVEMENT 3,000 euros
Prize in recognition of a career devoted to the dissemination of the touristic attractions of the Lands of Lleida and in recognition of a series of work presented in different editions of the competition.
jury > The jury will be formed of professionals from the world of communications and will represent the areas of press, radio and TV.
veredict > The jury will meet and make public the verdict for the 20th Pica d’Estats tourism Prize on Saturday 31st January 2009. It is possible for the same author to compete for more than one prize. The jury has the right to decide not to award a prize if it deems this appropriate.
